Description
The Briard has a course dry wiry outer coat that makes it look bushy and shaggy and a fine tight undercoat. The coat comes in all colours except white.
Temperament
Sensitive, playful, obedient and gentle, the Briard is a farm worker by nature and loves herding animals. It's easy to train.
Health problems
This breed is generally healthy.
Exercise
If this dog doesn't get enough regular exercise it will become restless. It makes a good jogging companion and likes swimming.
Grooming
Regularly brush the coat to keep it well-groomed.
Living conditions
Apartment living is fine if it gets enough exercise. It's happiest when it lives inside with the rest of the family.

Briards are successful at police, military and search and rescue work.
