Characteristics
Friendly, loyal, eager to please, confident, smart and affectionate, the Curly-Coated Retriever is easy to get along with but is not suited for everyone. It does not mature until it's about three years old and can be quite demanded with meed owners until then, so make sure you train it to be obedient as early as possible. This breed loves to swim.
Health Problems
This breed can be prone to hip dysplasia, epilepsy and eye problems.
Exercise
This dog needs a lot of daily mental and physical exercise.
Grooming
Don't brush or comb the coat because it will go frizzy. Regularly brush it while it is moulting. This breed is an average shedder.
Living Environment
This dog never gets tired outdoors but is calm indoors. It will do best with a large backyard and is not suited for apartment living. A Curly needs to feel a part of the family.
