Description
The Spinone Italiano has a dense wiry coat that comes in white, white and orange, orange roan, white with brown markings or brown road.
Temperament
The Spinone has great strength and stamina, and is very smart, happy, enthusiastic and easy-going. It takes its work seriously but has a clownish side to its personality. It is generally quiet but might howl along with a siren. The Spinone is an excellent swimming and retriever.
Health problems
Sometimes bloating and hip dysplasia does occur but not enough to be a serious issue.
Exercise
This breed is fairly active outdoors but not that active indoors. It will do fine with a small yard mixed with daily exercise and play.
Grooming
A weekly brushing with a small amount of stripping rather than cutting is enough to keep this breed well groomed.
Living Conditions
The Spinone is happy with a fenced yard but can jump very high so ensure your yard is well-fenced.
