Description
The Schnauzer has a wiry dense outercoat and a soft undercoat. It has courser longer whiskers, beard and is known for its bushy eyebrows. They are a medium sized dog, very friendly and intelligent, and able to live in an apartment, however it is important for them to get there daily walks.
Temperament
Lively, enthusiastic, loving and smart, the Schnauzer is a good travel dog and learns a lot, quickly.
Health problems
Like any other dogs, Schnauzer also may have health problems. This breed in particular can be prone to hip dysplasia and tumours.
Exercise
The Schnauzer loves a lot of exercise, so daily walks and plays are a must, to ensure they stay happy and healthy.
Grooming
Schnauzer will need to be professionally groomed as they have a wiry double-layered coat to avoid any matting. The undercoat also needs to be brushed daily to avoid getting matted. The good thing is this breed sheds little to no hair.
Living conditions
Apartment life is fine it if gets enough exercise.
