The Giant Schnauzer has a wiry dense outercoat and a soft undercoat. It has courser longer whiskers, beard and eyebrows.

Health Problems
This breed can be prone to cancer, hip dysplasia and epilepsy.
Exercise
The Schnauzer needs a lot of vigorous exercise.
Grooming
The undercoat needs to be brushed daily to avoid getting matted. Clip the coat twice a year. This breed sheds little to no hair.
Living Environment
This dog is not suited for apartment life and needs a lot of run-around room.
