Health Problems

This breed is generally healthy.

Grooming

Skye Terriers have a long, flowing coat that requires regular grooming to maintain its health and appearance. They are moderate shedders, with some shedding occurring throughout the year. They should be brushed weekly to prevent matting and remove loose hair, with daily brushing during shedding season.

Exercise

Skye Terriers have moderate exercise needs and require at least one hour of exercise per day. This can be broken up into shorter walks or play sessions.

Living Conditions

Apartment life is fine if it gets enough exercise and attention
Skye Terriers can be good family pets, but they may not be the best choice for families with young children. They are known for their loyalty and affection towards their family, but they can be sensitive and may not tolerate rough handling or excessive noise from children.
