Description
The Tibetan Spaniel is a small dog with a silky flat smooth double coat that's smooth on the face and legs and medium-length on the body. The coat comes in all colours and colour combinations. Traditionally from Tibet, the Tibetan Spaniel is believed to have been around for more than 2000 years. This breed is often mistaken for the Pekingese.
Characteristics
Cheerful, smart and trusting, the Tibetan Spaniel isn't yappy but will bark at intruders and odd noises. It gets along with other animals but can be hard to train.
Health problems
This breed can be prone to respiratory problems and heat stroke.
Exercise
The Tibetan Spaniel will do fine with moderate regular exercise.
Grooming
Regularly brush the coat. This breed is an average shedder, but hair comes out in clumps once a year.
Living conditions
This dog is suitable for apartment life.
