Description
Often called the Westie, the West Highland White Terrier has a straight hard outer coat that's about 5cm long and a soft thick undercoat. This dog is white.
Characteristics
Easy to train, friendly and good with kids, this dog is lively, confident and easy to travel with. It loves companionship.
Health problems
It can be prone to chronic hernias, liver disease, Legg-Perthes disease, jawbone calcification and skin problems.
Exercise
This breed should have a daily walk play off the leash.
Grooming
The coat should be regularly brushed, trimmed every four months and stripped twice a year. It sheds little to no hair.
Living Environment
Westies are good in towns, cities and the countryside. They are very active inside.
